Ormskirk Cricket Club Video Interview Fundraiser for Bowel Cancer UK

Anita Holme speaks to Life In Another Town about the Mums, Dads, Lads and Lasses Sunday Cricket Day at Ormskirk Cricket Club on 22nd April 2012

The day was organised by Anita Holme who lost her best friend last year to small bowel cancer.  During her illness the staff at Bowel Cancer UK provided support and information that her friends and family found invaluable. With the support of Ormskirk Cricket Club and local sponsers an exciting day of cricket was planned. The main rule of the day, for the four teams that took part, was to have fun and raise money for this very worthy cause.

Bowel Cancer UK aims to save lives by raising awareness of bowel cancer, campaigning for best treatment and care, and providing practical support and advice. Early diagnosis in the UK is a problem so Bowel Cancer UK work to help people recognise the symptoms of the disease and act on their concerns so that they have the best chance of survival.

The Ormskirk Cricket Club raised £542 for the Bowel Cancer UK charity.
